Atlantis Sofa, Jitona, Czechoslovakia, 1970s

Description

Sofa from the “Atlantis” seating suite, manufactured by the Jitona furniture factory in Soběslav in the 1970s. The sofa has been given new textured beige upholstery fabric and new filling. The structure surrounding the seat and backrest was made from a single piece of plastic; despite its considerable size, it is lightweight, stable and durable. A thick layer of upholstery foam makes it comfortable to use, making it well suited for lounging. The designer of the Atlantis suite ensured that the sofa looks good from every angle. 1970s design is characterised by futuristic forms and the use of synthetic materials—features also present in this design.

Upon request, we can change the colour of the upholstery fabric.
