Chrome vintage armchair, France, 1970s

A light, subtly shaped 1970s chauffeuse, a low French-style chair with a separate seat and backrest set on a frame of chrome-plated metal tubing, in excellent condition.
The piece has undergone a full restoration: it has been given new filling and upholstery webbing, as well as new upholstery fabric – stain-resistant velvet with a cowhide pattern.
This striking, edgy finish clearly stands out against traditional vintage upholstery.
