Michael John Casford lived from 1940 to 2005. He was an English visual artist and painter. In 1972, he moved to Norway because he believed it would be easier for him to gain recognition as an artist there. For Casford, the decisive elements in a painting were not the figures themselves, but colours and shapes. He regarded his paintings as fabrications, in which what is depicted is of secondary importance.

The work is in original vintage condition. The frame shows minor signs of use.
