Writing desk with drawers, Denmark, 1960s/70s
Danish secretary desk, or “drawer secretary,” produced in the 1960s/70s. Finished in teak veneer with solid-wood handles, edging and legs. It features 3 spacious drawers and a pull-out desktop, allowing it to also function as a desk.
The drawer fronts are finished in veneer, with the wood grain carefully matched to create a single continuous pattern when closed. The piece has undergone a complete restoration and has been newly protected with several layers of hardwax oil resistant to water and stains.
