Description
Double-sided teak desk, Denmark, 1960s
Large double-sided desk manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. It is finished in teak with a warm brown tone. This is a well-balanced piece of design, where style and functionality go hand in hand. The front comprises a bank of three drawers on one side, a single long central drawer, and a lockable cabinet. The first drawer in the bank, the central drawer, and the cabinet can be locked with a key, which is included. There is also a shelf at the back, 22 cm deep, running across the entire width of the piece. Although the desk is large and substantial, it is visually captivating in its lightness, thanks to its fine craftsmanship and the distinctive aesthetic of Danish design from the Mid-Century Modern period.
The desk is preserved in its original vintage condition. It has minor signs of use, wood discolouration, slight scuffs, marks, and natural patina.
